Apply for an EV cable channel to be installed outside your property

Use this form to apply for a cable channel.

About this form

Applications will only be open for 90 days from application date. If you do not get back to Highways once given approval and cost, then the application will be closed after 90 days. If you decide to go ahead at a later date, you will need to reapply.

Once you have submitted your application we will assess it and let you know if the work can go ahead. To do this we will also assess the installation site for suitability. If any additional steps are needed from you before installation we will let you know. Once we have this, we’ll let you know how much the job will cost.

You will need to make the payment before we can start the installation unless you are eligible for grant funding. You can tell us about your eligibility in the form.

When you go through the form, you have about 20 minutes to complete each page.

You will be asked for the following during the process so it will help to have these to hand:

  • Evidence that you have permission to install a cable channel at the property if you are not the homeowner
  • Evidence that you have received or are in the process of getting planning permission for an electric vehicle charge point at the property, or evidence that you do not require planning permission
  • Evidence that an electric vehicle home charge point has been installed at this property or will be installed at this property
  • Evidence of an electric vehicle at this property e.g. purchase, lease agreement or vehicle order form
  • Evidence of any grant funding criteria that apply to you

Don't use your normal 'Back' button to return to an earlier question, but use the 'Previous' button on the page you are on.

Questions marked * can't be left blank.
